Paula magazine did a report about the quality of teachers in our country. INICIA is a test which was take it to students of pedagogy in Chile. Our country got the worst place in this test, 16 out 16.
If we want to see the important things of this article we can find for example, that this was a test which includes most of universities in Chile including our university.
Like Javiera Necochea said: "Student at the university don't learn more concepts and subjects during their 5 years of studies. The important thing is in which school they were teached". That means that they are teaching with the contents that they learnt in their schools.
Personally I suffered this kind problems in one of my schools. I studied for six years out of Santiago in a public school and teachers were reading the newspapers during the class and stuffs like that. But, when I came back to Santiago I went back to José Victorino Lastariia school, public school which gave a lot of studies and very good teachers during my three years there. What I'm trying to say, is that there are some places that even being public they take care or are concerned about their students.
But, who is blame of this situation? I think is shared. Because some universities only for have students in their classrooms they are giving the pedagogy, and they are accepting students with 400 points in the PSU test, that in my own opinion is not fair. Pedagogy needs to have the best scores in this test to have better students. For that reason people or teachers are guilty too. Beacuse they study this careers due to they can not study laws or medicine, only for give an example.
I hope to be a teacher which can give better answers to my students, just because they need to have better opportunities and education in general. To get that, I think I have to study more, and stop being a lazy student. Probably is not the only way to be better, but surely is one of the most important ways.
Teachers need best a good deal and salaries. Is true that money is not the most important thing in our lives, but it helps. Besides teachers are one of the most important professions and they need to be contributed for the daily effort that they make.
I totally agree with you man in this problem: teachers and government are guilty. For teachers is too easy to guilt students when marks are a complete disaster. But anything justify our responsability like chilean citizen, person and teacher.
ResponderEliminarI totally agree with you. The differences between regions of our country is so evident. I went to a school in Lampa and my brother went to Santiago, and if you compare us, we are totally different.
ResponderEliminarI agree with you. All of us need to have the same opportunities to study.
