What I think about my blog? Let's find out!

The experience of write in a blog is parallel that I have writing on Twitter. You just have to write anything that you think about any topic or about how you feel. Post in blog could be a little bit different because we are doing this, due to we are in classes and learning how to improve our writing, spelling and trying to discover other abilities which we didn’t have any idea we had.

I have been feeling awesome writing here. Because even you know that you do this for a mark, your classmates are reading this, and posting about what you write. Could be a negative or a positive opinion, but it doesn’t matter, it just a comment like any other. If you ask me about what I have done different, I will tell you, I would have liked post more often than we did. But I know we didn’t have enough time to do that.

Personally I would like to keep posting here and I hope my classmates do the same, this is fun and is a very good way to improve our skills, so all of you are invited to keep posting here, and if you do that, surely are going to receive an answer

Analyzing classmates' blogs!

I'm a self-centered person definitely, I wanted to write about my own blog, but unfortunately I couldn't. For that reason I had to choose one of my classmates' blogs, and one of the interesting blogs that I read, was Karla’s blog, called “SevinNyne”. She has around nine posts there, probably more than us, or at least me.

The thing that I like about her blog, is that she has a customize one. Being in her blog you can realize about the background, letters, and adding her personal attributes like her favourite’s movies, music or books (I think I followed her example, due to I completed my profile too).

I chose on Karla’s blog the post about the “earthquake”. I think there are a lot of interesting things to read, but just the word earthquake causes different reactions in people who heard this word. Personally I like all kind of things that could happened with this phenomenon, because I think there are interesting to know, what happened with their families (speaking in general of course), how they lived the earthquake, how are them now, etc.

I think Karla can write very well, if somebody asks me about what she could improve, probably I could say her voice. Try to speak louder in class, and don’t be afraid to commit a mistake, and actually she doesn’t commit a lot of mistakes, but just speaking louder like I said before.

Ps.- I added this photo because I need to be “blank” to read something, any noise of anything interrupts what I’m reading, for that reason I need to be “focus” on what I’m doing, but I can not understand anything.

My behaviour in classes

Classes of Language Three are interesting, especially in the module of Miss Beatriz, because have been quick and fun, an important part of a class. But why is important this part? Because you need to be “in” the class, and Miss Beatriz can do that, saying something funny that makes you wake up and be alert to the class.

From my point of view teachers are being really concerned about our performance during classes. They send to our emails tasks and all kind of material to do while we are in home, but most of us (not all my classmates) never do that kind of things. Teachers are doing an effort giving us these things to do, so we had to do that.

The thing is that in my case I never do my homework, could be because I’m a lazy person, and besides due to I’m not very “in” language. In part this is because I think that I can speak with people like my uncle, not in a perfect way, but he help me and I do my best and for that reason I say: “ Baaahhh, but I know so I don’t need to do the effort of do the homework…” I know if I do my tasks I’ll get best marks in class, but I didn’t study the necessary to improve. Probably is for the reason I mentioned before, that I can speak with my uncle who is Britain, I’m more relaxed with Language 3.

At least, now I’m doing my tasks, like post on my blog, or the activities and reading which Miss Beatriz send me to my email, and doing those things, I feel more efficient, but that is something that I’m going to see with my future grades and the final exam…
Please God help me!!! Hahaha!
See yer
P.S.- I hope England wins today and Chile on Friday!

The beginning of a new dream...

Definetely this was a hard game. Most of people think that Chile is one of the best team in the world cup. Today we watched a game which included passion, speed, agony and happiness. Chile was a machine today, our players were running, running and running. Probably this is one of the important things which people consider, like the strenght of our team. They never give up, always fight and we have to support them.

The 35th minute was running, and we all were nervous, but Beausejeur scored for Chile. That was the best moment, all of us were celebrating, screaming and singing: "Vaaaamooosss, vaaamoooss chileeennoooosss..." and in that moment began a new dream, because now all people are saying: "Yes, we are going to be in the second round, we are going to win the world cup, nobody can with us..." that sounds nice, but I wish that this support were always the same, all of us involved with the spirit of Fútbol and being part of the most beautiful sport in the world.

The thing is that we have a very good team. Today the top players of the game were Beausejeur, Sánchez, Valdivia, Vidal and Medel. Valdivia was not playing in his position, but he fought, and tried to create some plays. Sánchez was a constant danger for the other team, he is fast, intelligent and a very agile player. Beausejeur scored and was running during the whole game, until he was replaced by Gonzalo Jara, and Vidal and Medel are the greatest defenders in Chile not about position, because every time when they play, they do it with the heart, they use their legs, head, chest and everything to be the player with the ball in their feets.
Weakness? Could be Carmona who received a yellow card very early in the match, but no more than that.

Concluding, definitely was a great game, but we don't have to be relaxed, due to have two more extremely diffuclt games and we have to win to Switzerland and Spain because if you want to be the winner, you have to beat anyone. Probably, if we do that we will be fulfilling the dream of the world cup. Chi-chi-chi-le-le-le Viva Chile!

Are Math and Language more importants that Music or Arts?

Ken Robinson explain the Education in a specific context, but which is
this context? The creativity of our students. Things like annoying
kids when they commit mistakes, are the actions which can stop the
creativity in a person. It supposed to be that we have to learn
about our mistakes and improve our creativity with them. The thing
is, that normally in schools kids can not be like the way they are.

Subjects like math and language are the most important around
the world. In fact, they are because of course we need to learn
how to read and operate with numbers, but not for that reason
we have to leave apart another important subjects like arts and music
for example. I know language and math are importants, but the rest
are important too, we shouldn't forget that not all the kids have
the same capacities for the "important" subjects. Some of them can
develop another important advances in arts or music and we must
encourage the development of these ones.

To conclude I think that creativity is important to improve our
intelligence and capacity of think, like Robinson said we need to
rethink about the decision that we take in importants moments, so
we need to create conscience and do some efforts to help children to
develop their maximum efficiency and try to discover their best
habilities in the most important subjects, not for the school, it
just for them.

Orlan: Do you think you are cool?

Orlan is a famous french artist. I can't believe her idea about
give kisses for money. It is not the best way of call the attention
of the rest of the people. There's a lot of people on the streets
giving free hughs or something like that, and all of us think that
they don't exist; However her art is a good way to catch people who
love this kind of "art" ( if we can call it in that way...)

In my opinion, I don't think that this things which Orlan does, are
ideas of a person who is working with her neurons in a right way. Some
people can say: "Oh, come on, this kind of art rocks! is different!..."
it could be true, but at least in my opinion it doesn't, especially for
the bumps in her forehead which I think are stupid. I know that anyone
can do whatever he/she wants, but I think that this old lady went too far.
Narcissism is for people who don't have more to say than: " Ohhh how
I look?", and that things, they should care their bodies! And the last
thing, if she is an artist, is weird. I prefer Da Vinci, Miguel Angel,
and the other guys.

To conclude I won't be like she, beacuse even some of her artworks
are good, I don't enjoy viewing people who "hurt" his/her body doing things
that I will never do ( some of my friends enjoy this, but I don't). Anyway
any person can do whatever he/she wants, this is a free world ( I think )
and if you want to jump from a building or a plane, is your business.
In my case, if someday I'm a grandpa I do not want to have my arms,
as well as wrinkled, tattooed and that my grandchildren say to me: "Hey,
grandpa when did you do that?" I don't want to say: "That was when I was
eighteens years old and I didn't know what I wanted to do with my life.

The German Fountain rocks!

There are many pieces of art in our city. However, many of us don't have
any idea about our history or the people who was here bafore us. Plenty of sculpture
are spread around the city, and the most common places are the Alameda Bernardo O'higgins, Cerro San Cristóbal, Parque Forestal among others.

I want to talk about a sculpture which is in the Parque Forestal and this is
the "Fuente Alemana" (not the restaurant, that is fantastic! haha). This sculpture was donated by the community chilean-german when our country celebrated its centennial, almost one hundread years ago. It has around 5-6 people who are sailing from The Andes to the ocean. For this reason the boat has in one part a condor and on the other side has a seal, the boat is on a pile of stones where drained with a lot of water.

Anyway I chose it, due to is one of the most imposing sculptures in Santiago and it is a very interesting sculpture. People do not usually take on importance, and the worst thing is that in summer some people go there and swim on the fountain!!! (Most of cases are the chavs or people who don't have money to have a shower). I hope we can create conscience and care of the few good places which we have. Now that you know more about this sculpture, what do you think about this piece of great art?
